A tireless dedication to the quality and needs of our clients has transformed a traditional EBN (Brazilian Shipping Company) into the largest national group of specialized maritime services.

In 2008, Zemax Soluções was created, focusing on maritime and port support services with customized vessels. The resulting success allowed the inclusion of new activities.

As of 2013, associated to major international players such as Navig8 and Grimaldi, Zemax Soluções started to operate in the ship to ship and long-haul segments. The results were expressive, allowing entry into the area of highly complex offshore projects.

In 2019, the company started to develop, with a highly specialized team, projects for the installation and maintenance of electrical cables and optical fibers along the entire Brazilian coast, for major companies such as Claro, Embratel, Petrobras, ISA CTEEP and Karoon.

The most tangible recognition of our expertise in this segment came, in 2021, with the successful bidding in Petrobras’ project for the implementation of the submarine optical network for the interconnection of oil exploration and production units in the pre-salt region in the Santos Basin. There are more than 1,200 km of submarine optical cables, installed at depths that reach 2,500 m. It is one of the largest projects in the world in this segment, for the Oil & Gas industry, with completion scheduled for Dec/2023.

To operate in all these segments, effectively and sustainably, a new corporate group structure was created in 2022, with Zmax Blue Ship as the Holding Company.

Our units work in an integrated manner, and depending on each project’s specifications, services may be performed by more than one of our companies.
